ABOUT THE SESSION
Many Copilot Studio agents fail not because they lack intelligence, but because they are allowed to act when they shouldn’t.
This session focuses on Human-in-the-Loop design as an engineering requirement, not an afterthought. Drawing from real enterprise deployments, we will explore when automation must stop, how to detect that moment reliably, and how to escalate to humans without destroying user experience, performance, or trust.
Attendees will learn concrete patterns for:
-
Designing approval and escalation workflows that scale
-
Defining confidence thresholds and ambiguity signals that trigger human intervention
-
Implementing agent “self-awareness” to recognize uncertainty, risk, and incomplete context
-
Avoiding common failure modes such as dead queues, excessive latency, and over-escalation
-
Identifying scenarios where automation should not be used at all
The session is practical, opinionated, and focused on production realities in regulated and high-risk enterprise environments, with patterns that survive real use.
