ABOUT THE SESSION
Managed Environments are often positioned as a governance tool. In practice, they have the potential to fundamentally change how you design, build, test, and deploy Power Platform solutions.
This session shows a real-world journey from traditional environment management to a fully managed, Git-driven development model used at scale in a large European organization.
You’ll see how in-product Pipelines are used not only for deployment, but as the backbone for loading unmanaged solutions, rebuilding environments from scratch, and supporting Personal Dev environments. How Git integration enables multiple engineers to work safely on the same solution. How the Catalog becomes the foundation for reusability and rapid recovery. And why regularly resetting environments turned out to be the key to keeping quality high instead of slowing teams down.
The session also looks ahead. Exploring how Git integration and managed environments are now being combined with agentic workflows to accelerate solution development without sacrificing control.
This is not a theoretical talk. It’s a practical, opinionated story about trade-offs, workarounds, and lessons learned. And why Managed Environments, when treated as a development model rather than a policy feature, enable both scale and speed.
