In the past, if we wanted to define our own custom messages and complex business logic within Microsoft Dataverse, developers had to use Custom Actions. With the introduction of Custom API’s, we have a modern and scalable way to provide this functionality and benefit from features such as enhanced security integration, localization, and the ability to create our own custom OData Functions that we can call via the Web API.
